Jan. 29 – F*cking Freezing Frozen Lake Half-marathon – Time is irrelevant. Read the race report for details.
April 10 – Shamrock Shuffle, volunteered with DetermiNation
April 19 – Boston Marathon – 3:39:37. 10,454/24,338 overall; 7780/14,057 men; 1461/2591 M45-49. See my Boston photo album.
May 14 – Ice Age Trail 50K - my first “ultra” and trail marathon
July 9 – Ironman 70.3 Muncie – my first Half-Ironman triathlon, and first triathlon of any distance in over a decade
Aug. 5-6 – Cascade Lakes Relay – I’m captaining a team of 12 in this mountainous 216-mile relay
Oct. 9 – Chicago Marathon – I’ll be pacing my friend Sarah in her attempt to qualify for Boston (she needs 3:35)
Nov. 20 – Philadelphia Marathon – If all goes well, I’ll be aiming to break 3:20 here … and celebrating Brian R.’s first marathon!
Dec. 3 – St. Jude Memphis Marathon – it’s become a family tradition for us to make the trek to Memphis, visit my sis-in-law’s family and for me to run the half-marathon. I may bump it up to the full marathon this year to qualify for the Marathon Maniacs.
